Power-ups
Add instant insight to your charts with overlays like goals, averages, and trend lines.
These tools help highlight patterns, benchmarks, and performance shifts — without needing to edit your data.
✅ How to apply a Power-up
Open the Power-ups section in the right-hand toolbar to toggle on:
🎯 Goal
➖ Average
📈 Trend
Each overlay appears automatically on your chart when enabled.
🎯 Goal
Add a horizontal line to represent a target value or benchmark.
You define the value — it’s great for comparing actual performance against a goal or threshold.
→ Use this when you want to show whether something is above or below target (e.g. “Target: $10K”).
➖ Average
Automatically calculates the average across your data and displays it as a line.
This gives immediate context on how individual points compare to the overall trend.
→ Use this to show how specific values are performing vs. the average — especially in bar or column charts.
📈 Trend
Adds a trend line to show how your data is changing over time or across categories.
After turning it on, you can choose from several types of trend lines based on your data:
Linear → A straight trend line — great for steady increases or declines
Exponential → Curves upward or downward — for accelerating trends
Quadratic / Polynomial → Best for curved or complex patterns
Logarithmic → Fast growth early that slows over time
Power → Like exponential, but more gradual
Loess → A smooth curve that adapts to local variations — good for noisy or uneven data
→ Use trend lines when you want to highlight direction or movement in the data at a glance.
