Headline numbers

Highlight key values from your chart — automatically.
Headline numbers show a summary metric (total, average, or current value) for each series in your chart. They're a simple way to surface the insight that matters most.

✅ How to add headline numbers

You can find headline numbers in the Graph section of the right-hand toolbar:

  1. Open the Graph settings panel

  2. Scroll to Headline number

  3. Choose one of the following:

    • Total → Sum of all values in the series

    • Average → Mean of all values

    • Current → Most recent value (useful for time series)

  4. To hide headline numbers, select None

💡 Headline numbers apply automatically to each series in your chart (e.g. each line, bar, or category).

🎯 Use for:

  • Highlighting key performance stats (e.g. "Total Revenue", "Avg. Retention Rate")

  • Drawing quick comparisons across series

  • Making your chart self-explanatory at a glance

💡 Tips

  • Use Current with line or area charts to highlight the latest data point

  • Keep it focused — 1–3 headline numbers is usually enough

  • Combine with annotations for even more context
